It is all speculation at this point, but Kurt Warner has arguably been the most desirable quarterback in the free agent market this off season after last season's Super Bowl run.
At first there were some teams that seemed destine to make a run at the Pro Bowler who were in desperate need of a franchise quarterback. There was Kansas City, but then they aquired Matt Cassel from the New England Patriots. Then there was the front runner in the Chicago Bears who have had their fair share of serious problems at quarterback since the late 80s, but they have even been mentioned in the talking of signing Warner.
Of course the Arizona Cardinals don't exactly want to hand the team back over to Mat Leinart just yet after Warner's amazing season, so they will be big players in trying to sign their quarterback, but there has been definitely been a question of money as Warner gets closer and closer to making a decision.
Another team in the NFL that is desperately trying to get back to dominant status at the quarterback position is the San Francisco 49ers who have always seemed to have a franchise quarterback in past years until Jeff Garcia left town and Alex Smith turned out to be a disappointment. There has been talk of the 49ers going after USC quarterback Mark Sanchez in the draft, but they will try their luck at Warner first.
Warner has given the Cardinals a way to sign him right now with an offer of $23 million over two years, but Arizona hasn't exactly jumped at the deal just yet. San Francisco on the other hand will ultimately be where Warner will land if the Cardinals decide not to pay Warner the money he wants.
